If you’ve been in a car accident in Vancouver, chances are you’ll be invited by ICBC in Vancouver to go to one of the 2 Vancouver ICBC claim centres (see locations below). Now, if your car was damaged you’ll want to deal with your car damage quickly because you want to get a new car or get your car repaired sooner rather than later. It’s fine to talk to ICBC Vancouver about your car damage and get your car situation taken care as soon as possible.
The fact is, if you were hurt in the car accident you don’t have to talk to ICBC directly about your injury claim. Your car damage (if your car was involved) is separate from your personal injury claim. ICBC will want to discuss both your car damage claim and personal injury claim with you early on after the crash. However, you don’t need to talk with them – especially about your injury claim.
